STUDY INFORMATION

Knee Osteoarthritis is the most common type of Osteoarthritis. More than 10 million Americans have knee osteoarthritis. It is also the most common cause of disability in the United States. It is a chronically progressive disease with signs and symptoms of pain, stiffness, restricted motion and crepitus. There are no known cures for OA and treatment regimens currently focus on reducing pain and maintaining joint movement, in order that patients may go about their daily tasks.

STUDY PURPOSE: In this study the effectiveness of Anchen’s generic formulation of diclofenac sodium topical gel 1% is going to be compared to the brand name drug, Voltaren (diclofenac sodium topical gel) 1% for the relief of the signs and symptoms of pain associated with OA of the knee.

STUDY LENGTH:  1-2 months with 4 study visits to our Watt Ave. study center.

COMPENSATION: Yes, enrolled participants receive compensation.

INSURANCE RESTRICTIONS: There are no insurance restrictions.
